What will I learn?
Unlike other dispute resolution programmes this programme offers you methodology to settle disputes in the growing non-court resolution industry. Many organisations and individuals seek to resolve disputes outside the public arena to avoid a slow and expensive litigation process.
You gain comprehensive grounding in techniques and theories. The negotiation course is helpful to anyone who must negotiate disputes on behalf of clients, employers or themselves. The mediation courses offer the skills and techniques to become a mediator. The arbitration course gives you knowledge which you can apply locally or internationally within trade and business. You understand the arbitral tribunal process and how to present evidence.
The programme is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and you may be exempt from specific courses to gain membership or progress Fellowship examinations.
You can study to PgCert, PgDip or LLM level and the programme is delivered online and part time to allow you to fit it around your other commitments, starting in either September or January.
