VOCATIONAL TRAINING

LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA

The BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council)  Level 3 Extended Diploma is a Further Education Qualification and a Vocational Qualification taken in the UK.  The qualification is organised and awarded by Pearsons (Kaplan) within the BTEC brand and is equivalent to A Level.

Duration Two Years

 

BTECs are gaining popularity as an alternative to A Levels but they actually cover a whole range of academic levels.  BTEC Level 1 and 2 are equivalent to GCSE Level

 

BTEC Level 3 are equivalent to A Levels.  Most Universities accept and recognise BTEC as entry requirement for entry to the Degree courses

 

BTEC Level 4 to 7. Hold the same status as achievement of a Degree

 

Students may take these qualifications at MCL or MCHE in order to gain entry to Higher Education.  It is mostly course work based.  Students will also be assessed through examination.

 

MODULES

  • Business – Extended  Level 3 Diploma Units, Law, Marketing, Human Resources, E.Business, Administration, Computer and Software
  • IT and Computing Extended Diploma Level 3 Units – IT Technology and Software, Hardware, Computer Science, Informational Systems
  • Media – Extended Diploma – Units. Media Production, Games Development, Interactive Media, Music Technology,  Performing Arts, Theatre and Design

 

Entry Requirement

  • BTEC Level 1 and 2 Diploma
  • Five GCSEs or equivalent overseas qualification

 

 

LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN CYBER SECURITY AND MANAGEMENT

 

Duration Fast Track  –  Six  to 9 Months

 

This programme is designed to provide a career pathway for learners who wish to develop their capabilities within Cyber Security Sector
